About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide general support to cross-functional engineering teams through various stages of the product lifecycle
  • Provide inspection, correlation, characterization, DOE, PFMEA, qualification, GR&R, and data analysis support using sound statistical methods
  • Support development and improvement of inspection methods, process controls, and standards for new and existing products
  • Support the nonconforming material and product process, including investigation, disposition, and identifying corrective and preventative actions
  • Utilize statistical tools to monitor and assess product performance, identify root causes, and determine process improvement opportunities
  • Support system implementation and improvements, including SPC/SQS software
  • Participate in operations and quality team meetings and activities
  • Respond to changing priorities in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or comparable Engineering program
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • Ability to work full-time onsite during the duration of the co-op
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read blueprints and read or interpret standards
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as an effective team member
  • Driven to learn more about real-world application of academic engineering concepts
