About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build, further develop, and institutionalize the Group-wide Trade Compliance governance and control framework
  • Develop and maintain policies, guidelines, standards, minimum requirements, and the Compliance Management System as Process Owner of the Target Operating Model
  • Support process excellence, including decision-making and escalation pathways
  • Establish and continuously enhance the Trade Compliance risk methodology and risk assessment processes
  • Define global internal controls and monitoring requirements in coordination with Review & Control and Functional Experts
  • Establish KPI and reporting structures
  • Further develop and maintain the training concept and support awareness campaigns
  • Capture improvement opportunities and regulatory changes, and adapt global governance documents accordingly
  • Support the harmonization of processes for implementation
  • Deliver training and prepare meaningful reports and analyses for management and relevant stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in law, business administration, finance, or a comparable qualification
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years in an internationally operating corporation
  • Relevant professional certifications or continuing education, with sound knowledge of international trade and customs laws as well as export controls
  • Strong analytical skills for identifying, assessing, and resolving complex compliance issues, along with the ability to work conceptually and demonstrated understanding of governance and processes
  • Experience delivering training and presentations, including at C-level
  • High level of self-motivation and a strong interest in export controls, international trade, and customs-related matters
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English, digital affinity, and an open, service-oriented, and team-oriented working style
