About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently identify, structure, manage, and successfully deliver strategically important, cross-company projects
- Support the management of the Functional Materials Business Line
- Analyze market and technology trends as well as future developments
- Identify potential growth areas and support management in achieving strategic objectives
- Identify relevant applications for digitalization and Artificial Intelligence and assess their potential
- Drive specific digitalization and AI initiatives forward
- Help shape strategic projects and initiatives in the area of sustainability
- Prepare and coordinate management and decision-making forums, particularly Leadership Team meetings
- Ensure structured decision-making and follow-up on agreed actions
- Challenge processes and structures, identify opportunities for improvement, and initiate more efficient, increasingly digital ways of working
- Deliver project results within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successfully completed Master's degree in natural sciences, engineering, or business administration; an MBA is an advantage
- At least three years of experience leading and successfully delivering challenging projects, ideally in a complex, international organization
- Ability to quickly analyze and structure complex issues, derive well-founded recommendations for action, and implement them consistently
- Solid knowledge of strategic areas such as business model development, financial modeling, product portfolio planning, and corporate strategy
- Strong affinity for new technologies, digitalization, and Artificial Intelligence in particular
- Active engagement with new developments and the ability to identify concrete applications for the business
- Excellent analytical and entrepreneurial thinking
- Outstanding communication skills
- Ability to persuade stakeholders across different functions and levels of seniority
- Very good command of German and English
