About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team at the site
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and relevant regulations
- Collaborate with site management, sales, and other functions to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts
- Provide insights and recommendations for improvement
- Monitor and control site costs, review and approve expenses, and identify cost-reduction opportunities
- Implement cost-control measures to achieve financial targets
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and provide insights on financial performance drivers
- Establish and maintain internal controls
- Conduct periodic reviews to identify and address control gaps
- Collaborate cross-functionally at the site and across Medevio
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to the site management team
- Improve financial processes, systems, and reporting
- Streamline workflows, automate manual tasks, and implement best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in financial management, accounting, or related roles
- Previous work at an Assistant Controller level or equivalent
- Multi-year experience in manufacturing controlling at a site-level, working closely with the shop floor
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Highly skilled in MS-Excel
- Good knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Knowledge of databases and MS-PowerPoint
- Know-how in BI tools is a plus, including Tableau and Qlik
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Proficiency in financial analysis techniques, financial modeling, and financial management systems
- Demonstrated business acumen
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing and developing teams
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
