About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop hardware-related software for measuring instruments, sensors, and actuators
- Continuously optimize existing applications
- Design, program, and enhance measurement programs and control systems for metrology equipment
- Analyze errors, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot measurement systems
- Process, analyze, and provide measurement and raw data
- Develop and document human-machine interfaces (HMIs) and application programming interfaces (APIs)
- Further develop the software strategy for metrology equipment in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Support the commissioning of new systems
- Create operating and training documentation
- Conduct user training for employees
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Very good knowledge of C/C++, C#, Python, scripting languages, and database languages
- Solid experience in software engineering, particularly requirements analysis, software design, and interface design
- Basic knowledge of scientific computing, measurement technology, and sensor technology
- Good written and spoken German and English skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, combined with an independent way of working
- High degree of initiative, willingness to learn, and readiness to familiarize yourself with new areas of responsibility
