About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Undertake Australian and international trademark filing and prosecution
- Manage trademark portfolios
- Provide rebranding and clearance advice
- Draft and negotiate consents and co-existence agreements
- Advise on intellectual property aspects of due diligence
- Support trademark and domain name disputes
- Work closely with the broader IP disputes practice and leading IP partners
- Advise clients on trademark portfolio management
- Help protect valuable brands and associated rights
- Support licensing and other commercial agreements
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of demonstrable experience across trademark prosecutions from a leading national or international private practice, or an in-house environment
- Admission as a Lawyer in Australia or New Zealand
- Excellent academic record
- Strong legal skills and a practical mindset
- Ability to work to tight timeframes, collaboratively and at times autonomously
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate collegiality within a team
- Hunger to learn and develop
- Innovative mindset and curiosity about AI and emerging technologies
