About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and own features across Hercules’ AI Agent, which enables users to build full-stack applications
Build and own features for App Builder, used to build, preview, and deploy apps
Develop scalable and reliable hosting infrastructure for hundreds of thousands of apps
Develop the SDK and headless SaaS products, including Hercules Commerce, Auth, CMS, and Files & Media
Build the user-friendly platform with enterprise-grade security and reliability
Improve Hercules’ internal AI coding harness
Ship quickly, iterate, correct mistakes, and deliver customer-focused features

Requirements

What you’ll need

Senior or staff-level full-stack software engineering experience
Strong software fundamentals: system design, architecture, data modeling, and API design
Ability to write clean, maintainable code and work effectively in monorepos
Product/design sense and a track record of independently shipping lots of features to customers
Strong SaaS experience with billing, subscriptions, entitlements, identity, OAuth, RBAC, SSO/SAML, product analytics, A/B testing, feature flags, i18n, and notifications
Strong experience with TypeScript, React, containers, Postgres, Redis, and Temporal
Ability to use frontier AI coding tools to significantly accelerate workflow
Willingness to work in US time zones if remote
Willingness to travel to the San Francisco office regularly if remote
