About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain infrastructure powering Hercules’ AI Agent
- Build and maintain infrastructure for App Builder, enabling app building, preview, and deployment
- Build and maintain scalable and reliable App Hosting for hundreds of thousands of apps
- Build and maintain the SDK, including Hercules Commerce, Auth, CMS, and Files & Media
- Build and maintain the enterprise-grade Platform supporting hundreds of thousands of users
- Ship quickly, iterate, correct mistakes, and deliver customer-impacting changes
- Work with Hercules’ stack, including TypeScript, React, AI SDK, Postgres, Redis, ClickHouse, Tailwind, CDK, Terraform, Docker, OpenTelemetry, Hono, Drizzle ORM, Temporal, Cloudflare, AWS, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google models
Requirements
What you’ll need- Senior or staff-level infrastructure engineering experience
- Strong software fundamentals: system design, architecture, data modeling, and API design
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code and work effectively in monorepos
- Experience scaling large, data-intensive, multi-tenant, distributed services
- Track record of independently shipping changes that directly impact customers
- Experience with TypeScript, React, containers, Postgres, Redis, and Temporal
- Ability to use frontier AI coding tools to significantly accelerate workflow
- Willingness to work in US time zones for remote work
- Willingness to travel to the San Francisco office regularly for remote work
