About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own Hercules' AI coding agent with the goal of making it cheaper, faster, and more accurate
  • Own the entire context/harness system design, including system prompt, tools, memory, skills, summarization/compression, hooks, and codebase design
  • Own online and offline evaluations
  • Use Hercules' 100k+ users, 200k+ code repositories, and millions of chat threads to guide experimentation
  • Work with an engineering counterpart on complex implementation
  • Ship quickly, iterate, and correct mistakes quickly
  • Build simple, self-serve, high-quality product experiences

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Senior or staff level product management experience
  • Technical ability to code
  • Understanding of system design, architecture, data modeling, and API design
  • Strong product intuition for customer goals and novel solutions
  • Track record of building simple, delightful UX/UI
  • Strong experience with current AI context and harness engineering practices, including summarization/compression, prompting, prompt caching, subagents, memory, context management, tools, async tools, deferred tools, and skills
  • Experience wrestling with AI coding agent challenges at scale and strong opinions on effective approaches
  • Experience with TypeScript, React, an agent framework such as AI SDK, and an evaluation platform such as LangSmith
  • Ability to significantly accelerate workflow using frontier AI coding tools
  • Willingness to work in US time zones and travel to the San Francisco office regularly if remote
