About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform outside sales, new business development, and account management for assigned accounts and customers
- Support business services in achieving revenue and profitability goals
- Manage quality and consistency of product and service delivery
- Identify potential new accounts and solicit orders through personal sales calls
- Foster sales relationships with target accounts
- Grow revenue and profit from existing accounts through regular customer contact and communication about additional services
- Prepare, submit, and interpret periodic reports on activities, sales volume, and expenses
- Attend sales meetings and training programs
- Represent the company at trade shows, conventions, Chambers of Commerce, and professional associations
- Stay current on environmental regulations, industry trends, and competitive conditions
- Coordinate with customers to identify service timeframes and ensure quality and satisfaction
- Resolve customer concerns and negotiate pricing and contract requirements
- Complete the annual sales revenue budget and identify key customer initiatives
- Manage and control sales expenses
- Maintain understanding of company service offerings
- Take on additional duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree required; focus within sales, business, marketing, or science preferred
- 3+ years of proven industry-related sales experience required
- In lieu of degree, 7+ years of proven industry-related sales experience required
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time, including some overnight stays
- Ability to manage Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) to less than 45 days
- Ability to complete a post-offer drug screen and background check
- Ability to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company's service offerings
- Knowledge of environmental regulatory changes, industry trends, and competitive conditions
- Ability to negotiate pricing and contract requirements
- Ability to manage sales expenses and submit business expenses timely
