About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage the firm's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and financial planning support
Report to the Head of Finance and collaborate with team members across departments
Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping, month-end close, and account reconciliations
Contribute to financial statements, reports, and forecasts while ensuring regulatory compliance
Act as day-to-day point of contact with the fund administrator; review monthly NAV packs, reconcile internal records, and resolve breaks
Analyze financial performance, identify trends and variances, and recommend improvements
Assist in automating reporting processes and enhancing financial systems
Evaluate and optimize cash flow and liquidity strategies
Participate in cash management, cash forecasting, and monitoring cash balances
Prepare investor communications and reporting materials in English and Chinese and respond to investor queries in both languages
Manage new investor onboarding, including KYC/AML, subscriptions, and redemptions, in coordination with the fund administrator
Maintain a comprehensive investor database
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
Maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risks and improve operational efficiency
Collaborate in the annual audit process, work with external auditors, and prepare required documentation
Support onboarding processes for exchanges and brokerages while ensuring regulatory compliance

Requirements

What you’ll need

5–8 years of progressive experience as a Finance Manager; experience within buy-side firms or crypto financial services is a strong plus
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
CPA or CA designation is required
Solid foundation in bookkeeping, including general ledger maintenance, month-end close, and reconciliations
Hands-on experience with Xero or QuickBooks is a plus
Experience working with fund administrators, including NAV review and investor capital activity
Audit experience and/or a track record of managing external audits is a plus
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to solve problems effectively
Fluency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin), written and spoken
Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with financial software
Proficiency in Python or equivalent programming competency is a plus
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
