About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the monthly group close as a controlled process, including the close calendar, review gates, and entity-result sign-off with the Director of Finance.
  • Run group consolidation in Workday, including intercompany eliminations and currency translation, and review system output.
  • Produce monthly Executive Committee reporting and quarterly Board reporting for the Group, Singapore and MENA through the live financial dashboard.
  • Turn automated variance analysis into clear, defensible commentary.
  • Review material legal-entity closes and own intercompany recharges and reconciliations.
  • Deliver statutory audits across the group with the Director of Finance by preparing schedules and workpapers, managing auditor requests, and challenging incorrect proposed adjustments.
  • Account for digital assets, staking and validator income, stablecoin activity, and trading results with audit-ready treatment and documentation.
  • Prepare regulatory financial returns, including monthly VARA reporting in Dubai and MAS returns in Singapore, for Director of Finance sign-off.
  • Coordinate tax compliance with local advisors across jurisdictions.
  • Keep finance procedures and the finance knowledge base current.
  • Work with the finance operations team to extend close and reporting automation.
  • Report to the Director of Finance and work closely with the Group CFO.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA or equivalent) with three to five years of experience, ideally including audit at a Big Four or mid-tier firm.
  • Hands-on experience of group consolidation, intercompany eliminations and multi-currency reporting across several legal entities.
  • Experience with a modern ERP; Workday is a strong advantage.
  • Sound technical accounting under IFRS or HKFRS.
  • Experience with digital assets or crypto accounting is an advantage but not a must.
  • Comfortable working with AI tools and automated workflows.
  • Examples of using AI tools in finance work are a plus.
  • Judgement to identify incorrect numbers, challenge auditors, and explain results clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with regulatory financial reporting in Hong Kong, Singapore or Dubai is an advantage.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered at an adjusted seniority level.
