About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide full operational oversight, performance management, and strategic direction for Remote Monitoring Centre activities within an assigned region
- Maintain continuous awareness of regional monitoring activities, live operations, workload conditions, and system performance
- Own Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance across all monitored regional sites
- Coordinate workforce coverage for shift gaps, absenteeism, and operational surges
- Identify opportunities to improve monitoring efficiency, validation accuracy, and response effectiveness
- Lead a medium to large team of operators and team leads through day-to-day management, coaching, development, workforce management/planning, and leadership
- Lead and define the function's strategic direction and improve the maturity of operational processes and procedures
- Partner with customers on service support inquiries, improvement initiatives, and operational optimization guidance
- Participate in the Senior Leadership team at Hexagon Mining's Balikpapan head office
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experienced IT/RMO/24/7 support Divisional Manager
- Background in remote monitoring or IoT/IT technology, ideally within a live monitoring environment
- Background in IT/IoT operations, ideally within the mining or resources-based sector
- Proven success in team leadership, including coaching, developing, and leading a team within an operational/KPI environment
- Ability to work in a high-volume environment and understand production or operational criticality
- Ability to lead directives within a live monitoring environment and event validation metrics
- Proven success collaborating in customer-centric, solution-focused engagements
- Business and commercial acumen, including understanding of service-based revenue streams
- Valid Australian working rights
