About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own end-to-end architecture for applications built on and around MT4/MT5 trading servers
- Set platform software design and development standards, including application impact on live trading servers
- Own integration architecture between trading servers and the wider estate, including liquidity and price-feed integration
- Define platform software security and observability as architectural requirements
- Prepare platform applications for containers and Kubernetes / Amazon EKS, aligned with the estate modernization roadmap
- Write production code and build shared libraries and proofs of concept for platform applications
- Collaborate with architects, engineering teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust, scalable solutions
- Mentor engineers and support routine, verifiable and reversible trading-platform changes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering, including several years architecting software on or around a live electronic trading platform
- Fluency in English; additional languages would be considered an advantage
- Deep knowledge of the MetaQuotes MT4/MT5 ecosystem, including the Manager API
- Expert proficiency in C# and .NET
- Strong C++ for plugin development
- Advanced SQL
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency and high availability in high-throughput, mission-critical systems
- Experience designing Windows applications for Kubernetes / Amazon EKS is a strong plus
- Experience with liquidity and price-feed integration, including bridge platforms such as PrimeXM
- Familiarity with the regulated-broker environment (CySEC, MiFID II) as it constrains platform design
- Excellent communication skills for translating complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders
