Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in all phases of mechanical design projects: technical specifications, 3D design using SolidWorks, drawing creation, mock-ups, testing phases, tolerance definition, identification and management of subcontractors, fine-tuning, production launch in Igny, documentation, prototyping, and industrialization
- Work on opto-mechanical integration, vacuum compatibility, and precision motorization projects
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders in Mechanical Engineering, Optoelectronics, Electronics, and IT
- Collaborate with Production, After-Sales Service, Procurement, and Sales, as well as with customers and suppliers
- Follow a structured training program upon joining
- Gradually provide technical support to Production and Customer Support teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Two- or three-year post-secondary degree (BTS in Industrial Product Design, DUT in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent)
- Five years of significant experience in a similar role (mechanical design, special-purpose machinery design, or opto-mechanical integration)
- Strong mechanical engineering skills
- Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
- Strong industrial drawing and technical drafting skills would be an advantage
- Experience in machining or sheet-metal work would be a plus
- Good technical and scientific knowledge
- Strong interest in experimentation
- Good level of English preferred for communicating both verbally and in writing with English-speaking teams and customers
