About the role

  • Ensure patient preferences are recorded on meal tickets and meals and snacks adhere to residents’ needs
  • Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures
  • Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition or an accredited diet technician program
  • Must be a Registered Dietetic Tech (RDT) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and/or a licensed dietitian (LD) or dietitian tech (LDT)
  • Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a uniform
  • Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
  • Prolonged standing and walking continuously, frequent stooping, and bending and lifting up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
  • Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required
  • Applicants must provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved medical or religious exemption upon start of employment, in compliance with CMS mandates
  • Culinary experience is preferred (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare)
