About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the roadmap and execution for the payment orchestration platform, including the orchestrator, transaction lifecycle, receipts, and webhook ingress
  • Improve authorization rates and cost efficiency through routing, provider selection, retries, and failover across PSPs and gateways
  • Lead authorizations, captures, refunds, voids, and disputes while ensuring correctness, idempotency, and state integrity
  • Build reliable inbound webhook processing that normalizes, deduplicates, and distributes provider events to downstream services
  • Own accurate receipts and transaction records
  • Partner with engineering to design documented payment APIs and events
  • Drive instrumentation, alerting, reconciliation, uptime, latency, and error-rate improvements
  • Ensure PCI, risk, data integrity, security, scalability, and compliance
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, data, risk, support, and partner-facing teams
  • Use payments data to prioritize the roadmap and measure impact
  • Deliver measurable improvements in transaction success, platform reliability, provider coverage, and builder experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of Product Management experience focused on payments, fintech, platform, or API/infrastructure products
  • Track record of shipping impactful platform or infrastructure features that improved reliability, coverage, or transaction success in a high-scale environment
  • Working understanding of payment systems, PSP/gateway integrations, authorization-to-settlement lifecycle, webhooks, idempotency, and reconciliation
  • Strong technical fluency and ability to partner with engineering on API design, event models, and system trade-offs
  • Familiarity with SaaS and platform growth levers, including internal platform adoption, developer experience, and reliability as a driver of customer trust
  • Experience building and shipping features within payments, fintech, or platform/infrastructure ecosystems
  • Ability to reason about payment routing, PSP integrations, idempotency, event delivery, retries, timeouts, duplicates, and reconciliation
  • Data-driven approach to transaction logs, failure reasons, provider quirks, authorization rates, latency, and reconciliation gaps
