About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the end-to-end quality engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap across multiple product lines in Commerce & Payments
- Establish quality gates, release readiness criteria, and CI/CD integration into Quality
- Drive a shift-left, shift-right quality culture by embedding testability into design reviews and using production observability
- Conduct architectural reviews to identify scalability, reliability, and performance risks
- Evaluate and select scalable test automation tooling, frameworks, and platforms
- Lead AI adoption for quality engineering to improve coverage, productivity, and defect prediction
- Partner with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and Security leadership on quality and release objectives
- Provide quality updates, metrics, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership
- Define, establish, and monitor quality and productivity KPIs/OKRs
- Lead succession planning and mentor SDET Managers and Leads
- Collaborate with Product divisions to draft quality plans and track end-to-end scenario health across the SDLC
- Author, validate, and attest Commerce releases for internal and external customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years in software testing/quality engineering
- 5+ years of senior engineering leadership experience leading teams across complex products
- Ability to own quality strategy and reliability outcomes across multiple teams
- Expertise in test automation frameworks including Selenium, Playwright, and RestAssured
- Proficiency in Java, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Harness CI/CD
- Knowledge of containerization with Docker/Kubernetes
- Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Hands-on experience building AI/ML-based testing tools that improve coverage and productivity
- Experience with performance testing, security testing, and other non-functional quality attributes
- Experience architecting test strategies for microservices, distributed systems, and mobile platforms
- Preferred: experience testing high-transaction SaaS platforms such as CRM, Payments, Automation, Email, or Fintech
- Preferred: experience building and testing AI products using Agentic AI, including evaluation frameworks
