About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the application product lifecycle, especially claims processing and related application components
- Collaborate with customers, engineers, architects, capability managers, and team members to capture capability needs and define quality business solutions
- Gather project specifications and translate business requirements into detailed specifications for new capabilities and application enhancements
- Analyze business problems and data to identify trends and process-improvement opportunities in claims operations
- Create and maintain business vision, requirements, client personalization, user stories, and basic user-interface designs
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle on Agile Scrum teams, including roles such as Business Technical Analyst or Tester
- Support requirements testing through test plans, scenarios, documentation, defect management, and analysis of customer impacts
- Ensure required standards and approvals are met throughout the project lifecycle
- Conduct or assist with requirements walkthroughs and sprint reviews
- Report project status, enable vendor solutions, and provide accurate documentation
- Identify and explore AI and automation opportunities in the claims domain and assist with implementation
- Identify, document, and manage project risks, defects, and issues
- Stay informed about claims technology market trends to support business value statements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Systems, or closely related field
- 3 - 5 years in IS/IT
- Familiarity with open systems technologies
- Awareness of emerging healthcare IT regulations and trends
- Exposure to claims processing software or platforms (e.g., Facets, Amisys, HealthRules)
- Agile Methodology Certification (e.g., CSM, CSPO)
