About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Configure, roll out, and support assigned Epic Orders applications
  • Plan, design/build, test, implement, and support Epic software
  • Analyze and determine system requirements and specifications
  • Perform and document workflow analysis and evaluate user experience
  • Support and maintain environments or applications using domain knowledge
  • Create and maintain implementation documentation and training materials
  • Configure changes within Epic environments to provide standardized, comprehensive workflows
  • Correct issues, conduct routine maintenance, update systems with new functionality, and implement new technologies
  • Guide and support end-users in using Epic and resolve end-user system issues
  • Contribute to and independently manage small to medium projects
  • Provide timely progress updates to stakeholders on assigned tasks, projects, and issues
  • Conduct problem-solving and root cause analysis for routine to moderately complex problems
  • Identify solutions and complete documentation
  • Protect covered information, cardholder data, and confidential customer information
  • Comply with HIPAA, privacy and information security policies, the Code of Business Conduct, applicable laws, and training requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 years of systems administration experience within one or more Epic modules
  • Epic Orders experience preferred
  • 3 years of experience in the healthcare industry preferred
  • Ability to handle analysis, design, system configuration and testing tasks at basic to moderate levels of complexity
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills in managing priorities
  • Knowledge of project management principles
  • Associate's degree required
  • 2 years of relevant work experience in lieu of an Associate's Degree
  • Epic Application Certification within 6 months required
  • Bugsy Certification preferred
  • No language other than English required
  • Ability to comply with HIPAA, data security guidelines, company policies, and applicable laws
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds constantly, 10 to 25 pounds occasionally, and 25 to 50 pounds rarely
