Key responsibilities & impact

Work closely with customers and design teams to prioritize data and information requirements
Provide analysis for the development and support of projects and data analysis
Determine how decision support systems provide information for effective business decisions
Translate requirements into applications using decision support and reporting tools
Recommend innovative approaches to analytical investigations
Model data sources and flows
Collaborate with data management staff to define operational, policy, and security frameworks
Develop internal relationships and provide analytic and consultative support to internal customers and external business partners
Mentor less-experienced colleagues on technical and business aspects of projects
Lead implementation of recommended solutions to complex business problems
Define study issues, project ideas, and methodological and technical approaches
Develop analysis methods, database designs, and performance measurements
Interpret raw data and statistical results, identify follow-up actions, and prepare written reports and oral presentations
Develop and maintain moderate-to-extremely-complex computer programs using 4GL languages and database technologies
Perform other duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Information Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related field
7 years of relevant, progressive experience in the area of specialization, including experience leading projects of varying size and complexity
Strong technical skills in mainframe, PC, and Internet-based technologies
Comfort and proficiency using large and complex databases
Strong skills using Microsoft Office, Business Objects, Cognos, and Enterprise Guide
Strong communication skills and comfort presenting findings and recommendations to senior management
Compliance with HIPAA, data security guidelines, the Code of Business Conduct, applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and training requirements
Physical work site required
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds constantly and 10–25 pounds occasionally
