About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform financial and business-related research and analysis
Prepare forecasts and analyze financial reports, records, trends, and statistical data
Develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases
Conduct and document financial analysis projects
Coordinate with departments, locations, divisions, outside agencies, management, subsidiaries, affiliates, and third parties
Resolve problems and communicate project status and completion deadlines
Advise management on expected outcomes and recommend ways to improve results
Present analyses of financial results and trends to all levels of management
Develop and document business policies and conduct special financial and business studies
Provide reasoning for variances and make recommendations regarding accounting for reserves, assets, and expenditures
Independently solve problems and document recommendations to management
Compile and prepare reports, graphs, and charts using PC and/or mainframe systems and software
Serve as project lead for departmental special projects
Lead and document financial analysis projects, including data gathering, analysis, findings documentation, result calculations, and report generation
Coordinate activities to ensure projects advance properly and are completed within established timeframes
Make recommendations based on findings
Perform other duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree
7 - 10 years of related progressive experience in Accounting and/or Finance, including experience leading projects of varying size and complexity
Experience with various computer applications, including MS Excel
Experience in Budgeting and/or FP&A (preferred)
Hyperion / Smart View software experience (preferred)
Executive Presentation experience (preferred)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong relationship-building skills
Client-focused with strong business acumen
Ability to work under pressure independently and as part of a team
Ability to think strategically and act proactively to create trust and confidence with business units
Strong innovative problem-solving capabilities
Travel requirement: 0% - 25%
