About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and programs
Design and write code adhering to coding standards
Perform code reviews
Generate ideas, explore and implement technical solutions for required product features
Monitor technical progress against project plans while safeguarding functionality, scalability, and performance
Participate in all Scrum ceremonies and assist in sprint planning
Complete development sprints through final execution of software applications and programs
Communicate issues and blockers to the Scrum Master
Drive story creation, including Definition of Done, acceptance criteria, and estimation
Create and update tasks in software such as RTC or Jira
Work with principal engineers to design and implement complex technical solutions
Mentor other software engineers
Build scalable software applications across digital channels
Contribute to the full application build process from idea generation and business analysis through technical design and development

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field
7 years of proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns in building and deploying scalable, highly available systems
5 years in at least two modern programming languages, including Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, or Informatica
Experience with at least three of: React, Angular v4+, NodeJS, NoSQL databases, HTML5, CSS, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services
5 years of understanding web services technologies such as REST, HTTPS, and JSON
5 years with two or more general-purpose programming languages
5 years defining system architectures and evaluating technical feasibility trade-offs
Ability to produce fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable code
Experience with Agile Scrum methodology
Fluency in spoken and written English
Knowledge of software engineering practices across the full software development lifecycle
Experience designing and implementing large-scale consumer-facing applications
Experience and willingness to mentor junior engineers
Must comply with HIPAA, data security guidelines, company policies, applicable laws, and the Code of Business Conduct
