About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze, design, code, test, and implement technical solutions
Provide general production monitoring and support
Support the Mainframe z/OS, SMP/E, and Coupling Facility technical ecosystem, including infrastructure, systems, networks, applications, and integrations
Collaborate with IT, product, analytics, business, architecture, and other technical teams
Gather requirements and provide technical solutions aligned with organizational needs
Monitor work against production schedules and provide progress updates
Report issues and technical difficulties to leadership
Document technical processes and procedures
Participate in technical reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions
Perform technical analysis and provide insights for decision-making
Stay current with relevant technologies and industry best practices
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be a US citizen due to contractual/access requirements
3 years of experience analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and implementing technical solutions
3 years of technical problem-solving, solution implementation, and team/project collaboration experience
3 years of basic computer science concepts and principles, common operating systems, and development languages/scripting
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or relevant experience and/or education in lieu of bachelor's degree
Preferred: z/OS Mainframe Systems Programming background, including SMP/E
Preferred: ability to work off-hours and weekends and scheduled 24x7x365 on-call responsibilities
Preferred: 5 years of experience with technology platforms, application development tools, business processes, and software development life cycle
Preferred: 5 years of experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility trade-offs
Preferred: 5 years of experience designing or developing technology solutions in healthcare
Preferred: 5 years of experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and their respective services
Preferred: 5 years of technical governance, quality, and technical security best practices
Preferred: 5 years of experience translating requirements, design mockups, prototypes, or user stories into technical designs
Preferred: 5 years of producing fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable technical solutions
No required licenses or certifications
