Key responsibilities & impact

Build scalable software applications across all digital channels to serve customers
Take an enterprise-wide architectural view of solutions and execute products using the technical stack best suited to the platform
Collaborate with internal and external clients throughout ideation, business analysis, technical design, and software development
Lead the resolution of technical and business problems involving scalability, performance, maintainability, security, and robustness
Generate ideas, explore and implement technical solutions for product features
Monitor technical progress against project plans while safeguarding functionality, scalability, and performance
Explore new technologies and architectural concepts
Participate in high-level development estimations to support roadmap execution
Present solutions and ideas to team members and management
Mentor and provide leadership to other software engineers
Potentially be accountable for a team of software engineers and drive products aligned with client needs and product roadmaps
Comply with HIPAA, data security guidelines, the Code of Business Conduct, applicable laws, policies, and training requirements
Perform other duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field
9 years of proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns in building and deploying scalable, highly available systems
9 years with at least two modern programming languages, including Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, or Informatica
Experience with at least three of React, Angular v4+, NodeJS, NoSQL databases, HTML5, CSS, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services
9 years understanding web services technologies such as REST, HTTPS, and JSON
9 years with two or more general-purpose programming languages
9 years defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility trade-offs
9 years producing fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable code
Experience with agile Scrum methodology
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices across the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, unit testing, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Strong track record designing and implementing large-scale consumer-facing applications
Ability to learn other programming languages as needed
Preferred: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
Preferred: 9 years working with technology systems, designing solutions, or developing applications in healthcare
Preferred: 9 years translating design mockups, prototypes, and user stories into working applications
Preferred: 3 years working with Machine Learning, especially Natural Language Understanding, Machine Translation, Deep Neural Networks, and related fields
No licenses or certifications required
No language other than English required
