About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise, assign, coordinate and evaluate semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel
- Supervise and train employees to improve quality and quantity of work
- Recommend training to enhance employee skill and productivity
- Assist in developing training procedures
- Break broad strategies into practical action plans
- Ensure employees are trained to perform action plans
- Ensure compliance with drawings, procedures and other technical requirements
- Oversee manufacturing, installation, operation, testing and process operations with significant financial impact
- Supervise qualified trades staff and monitor job and budget performance for all shifts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree OR Apprentice Certification OR High School and 4 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience OR Associate Degree in a Trade/Technical and 3 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade and/or military experience
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Experience in manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, or military service as specified in the education alternatives
- Ability to supervise, train, assign, coordinate and evaluate semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel
- Ability to comply with technical aspects of the job, including drawings and procedures
- Ability to monitor job and budget performance for all shifts
