About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, implement, and administer compensation and incentive policies, procedures, practices, and programs
  • Conduct surveys and labor-market studies to determine compensation trends
  • Analyze jobs and review job descriptions and specifications
  • Apply job evaluation techniques to establish equitable compensation rates against industry rates
  • Analyze government regulations, company policies, and labor union agreements to establish standard rates
  • Review classification and compensation changes and recommend tasks, qualifications, and compensation decisions within policy and budget limits
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to line managers and HR generalists on compensation issues
  • Interpret local, state, and federal laws regulating compensation practices
  • May handle executive compensation, HRIS functions, incentive plan administration, and stock option administration
  • Collaborate with managers, HR generalists, and organizational stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of relevant exempt experience
  • Equivalent pathways include NNS Apprentice School graduation, Navy Nuclear Power School graduation, an Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program plus 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience, Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience, or High School/GED with specified relevant experience
  • Strong and solid Excel skills
  • Ability to speak in front of large audiences
  • Sound critical and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong communication skills are nice to have
