About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules
- Coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to production requirements
- Advise management on work-in-progress status, material availability, and potential production problems
- Schedule equipment and personnel
- Confirm material supply and demands
- Prepare work orders or purchase requests for production or purchase of components or parts based on the master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements
- Coordinate interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, and traffic
- Schedule and expedite movement of parts through move orders, stock transfers, and shipping-order requests
- Support production of amphibious ships, destroyers, and cutters for the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma/GED and 7 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience, or Master's Degree or above and 1 year of experience
- Experience using scheduling software, preferably Primavera
- Working knowledge of Critical Path Management (CPM)
- Understanding of shipbuilding or construction sequencing
- Understanding of resourcing loading in a scheduling environment
- Understanding of IMP/IMS development and maintenance
- Understanding of Critical Path Analysis
- Knowledge of scheduling
- Experience with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- Must work in Pascagoula, Mississippi, United States
- U.S. Citizenship is not required for this position
