About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks
Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes
Develop, validate, and maintain electrical engineering models and simulations
Set up, test, troubleshoot, and integrate Hardware-in-the-Loop systems
Develop, test, and optimize Simulink/Stateflow models
Interpret complex engineering requirements and apply them to model-based designs
Document modeling requirements, test procedures, and verification results
Travel 10%-25% of the time
Work collaboratively with technical teams and communicate technical concepts to peers, management, and cross-functional teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant exempt experience; or Master’s Degree and 0 year of relevant professional experience
Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
US Citizenship required
Strong proficiency in MATLAB
Understanding of electrical system modeling, signal processing, controls, and dynamic system analysis
Hands-on experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems
Working knowledge of C++ and Python; C, Simulink scripting, and embedded coding are optional additions
Ability to interpret and analyze complex engineering requirements and apply them to model-based designs
Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
Experience developing real-time models for HIL systems
Background in embedded systems or control algorithms
Experience with Simulink/Stateflow model development, testing, and optimization
Ability to document modeling requirements, test procedures, and verification results
Exposure to Agile or iterative development processes
