About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total systems
  • Analyze systems across concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal
  • Convert customer or product requirements into total systems solutions within technical, schedule, and cost constraints
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies
  • Provide technical guidance for A4W and A1B engineering systems and processes
  • Integrate engineering teams with technology roadmaps and align technical milestones with procurement and logistics
  • Use data and advanced tooling such as COOPIR/IMR to distinguish tactical needs from strategic goals
  • Serve as technical liaison between LCM, OM, Navy Procurements, NAVSEA, NNL, BPMI, and NAVSUP
  • Drive lifecycle management initiatives and improve cradle-to-grave lifecycle management information
  • Identify high-risk systems and develop solutions addressing obsolescence and spare-parts availability

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience; or Ph.D. and 0 years of experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Final security clearance required to start
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Technical expertise in engineering systems and processes associated with A4W and A1B systems
  • Experience in lifecycle management, obsolescence management, or technology roadmaps
  • Experience working within the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP)
  • Ability to translate complex technical data into actionable strategies
  • Ability to use data-driven tools to identify trends, anomalies, and risks within a complex supply chain
  • Ability to drive initiatives with ownership and accountability
