About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze, research, and develop structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic, or composite structural materials
- Support product design and operation involving structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics, power plant, armament, heating and ventilating, equipment, and maintenance designs
- Analyze damage tolerance, durability, design allowables, and structural modeling
- Perform dynamics and loads, stability and stress, fatigue, and thermal analysis
- Use structural engineering software and applications including CATIA, IDEAS, ProEngineer, Shipconstructor, Navisworks, AutoDESK Nastran, and FEMAP
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university and 2 years of experience, or Master of Science degree or above in Engineering from an ABET accredited university and 0 years of experience
- U.S. citizenship required
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis, Hull Scantling Analysis, Welding, Fasteners, Military Specifications and Standards (nice to have)
- No relocation assistance available
