About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks
  • Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, including laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes
  • Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings, flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics
  • Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas
  • Conducts preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided, including trajectory adequacy and model dimensional consistency
  • Makes quantitative judgments concerning technical data
  • Uses a personal computer to perform analyses and develop documentation and reports
  • May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis
  • Supports the Nuclear Overhaul Material Planning group

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's Degree and 1 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Alternatively, NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Alternatively, Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Alternatively, High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
  • Alternatively, High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
  • Experience with SAP, GFE, i2 parts Catalog, BOM Development, QN's, and SI Database is nice to have
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Clearance is not required to start
