About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks
  • Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, including laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes
  • Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings, flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics
  • Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas
  • Performs preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided, including trajectory adequacy and model dimensional consistency
  • Makes quantitative judgments concerning technical data
  • Uses a personal computer to perform analyses and develop documentation and reports
  • May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's Degree and 1 years of relevant experience
  • One of the following may be used as equivalent to Associate's Degree: NNS Apprentice School graduate; Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate; High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience; High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Nice to have: Electrical trade, electrical Naval experience, and shipbuilding knowledge
  • Nice to have: Experience with lockout tag-out or work control
  • Must work 1st shift
  • Travel up to 10% of the time
