About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks
  • Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, including laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes
  • Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings, flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics
  • Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas
  • Conduct preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided, including trajectory adequacy and model dimensional consistency
  • Make quantitative judgments concerning technical data
  • Use personal computers for analyses and development of documentation and reports
  • Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience
  • One of the following may be used as equivalent to Associate's Degree: NNS Apprentice School graduate; Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate; High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience; High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience; Propulsion Plant Electrical Test/Operations Experience
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Naval Nuclear Experience nice to have
  • No clearance required to start
