About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, design, and lead the reconfiguration, maintenance, and enhancement of equipment and production systems
  • Gather and analyze data related to equipment specifications, operational requirements, regulatory constraints, and schedule feasibility
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external equipment vendors
  • Develop technical criteria, equipment layouts, and detailed mechanical specifications
  • Prepare comprehensive equipment specifications for equipment acquisition, integration, and installation
  • Review and estimate project costs associated with equipment selection
  • Oversee equipment inspections and performance verification for compliance with technical requirements
  • Communicate technical strategies, findings, and recommendations to leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex equipment-related challenges
  • Manage projects through scope development, planning, risk assessment, execution, and delivery
  • Serve as the primary technical representative for major equipment projects
  • Coordinate complex engineering efforts with senior external partners, suppliers, and technical specialists across the organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience
  • Master's Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Ph.D. and 0 years of experience
  • Expertise in mechanical and equipment engineering
  • Broad knowledge of related disciplines
  • Project-management abilities across the full project lifecycle
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-1625 (nice to have)
  • Ability to work on-site; position is not eligible for telework
  • No U.S. citizenship required
