About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise, assign, coordinate and evaluate semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel
- Supervise and train employees to improve quality and quantity of work
- Recommend training to enhance employee skill and productivity
- Assist in developing training procedures
- Break broad strategies into practical action plans
- Ensure employees are trained to perform action plans
- Comply with technical aspects of the job, including drawings and procedures
- Oversee manufacturing, installation, operation, testing and process operations with significant financial impact
- Monitor job and budget performance for all shifts
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS/Apprentice + 4 years production supervisor experience
- OR Non-BS/Non-Apprentice with 6 years combined production supervisory experience and/or CS experience
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Knowledge of Nimtz Class Carrier overhaul and ship repair (nice to have)
- Broad CVN 68 class experience, including work control procedures, nuclear procedures, tank testing, and watertight (nice to have)
- Travel 10%-25% of the time
- Ability to work multiple shifts
- Clearance is not required to start
