  • Develop and optimize materials for engineering design and application in structures, systems and subsystems
  • Apply principles of chemistry, physics, and material behavior to develop metallic, non-metallic and composite material and processing specifications
  • Develop fabrication and assembly processes
  • Develop, analyze and apply material properties and design allowables, processing processes and quality engineering specifications
  • Perform material analyses, including failure analysis, life predictions, and definition and requirement specifications
  • Review and approve subcontractor material processing procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of relevant exempt experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Travel requirements: 10%-25% of the time
  • Clearance is not required to start
