About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules
- Coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements
- Advise management on work-in-progress status, material availability and potential production problems
- Schedule equipment and personnel
- Confirm material supply and demands
- Prepare work orders or purchase requests for production or purchase of components or parts based on the master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements
- Coordinate interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control and traffic
- Schedule and expedite movement of parts through move orders, stock transfers and shipping-order requests
- Support production of amphibious ships, destroyers and cutters for the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma/GED and 7 years' experience, or Bachelor's Degree or above and 3 years' experience
- Applicable to Internal Candidates Only: 18 months of experience as a Surveyor-Outside (P) or 1st Class Journeyman
- Computer skills

- Experience in Machinery Craft
- No U.S. citizenship requirement
- Must work multiple shifts
- Not eligible for telework
