About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules
  • Coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements
  • Advise management on work-in-progress status, material availability and potential production problems
  • Schedule equipment and personnel
  • Confirm material supply and demands
  • Prepare work orders or purchase requests for production or purchase of components or parts based on master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control and traffic
  • Schedule and expedite movement of parts through move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of relevant exempt experience
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate, or Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate, as alternatives to a Bachelor's Degree
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience, or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
  • Exposure to network scheduling techniques is highly preferred
  • U.S. Citizenship required
