About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules
- Coordinate material requirements to ensure controlled flow of approved materials timed to production requirements
- Advise management on work-in-progress status, material availability and potential production problems
- Ensure personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed
- Schedule equipment and personnel
- Confirm material supply and demands
- Prepare work orders or purchase requests for production or purchase of components or parts based on the master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements
- Coordinate interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control and traffic
- Schedule and expedite movement of parts through move orders, stock transfers and shipping-order requests
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma/GED and 7 years' experience, or Bachelor's Degree or above and 3 years' experience
- For internal candidates only: 18 months of experience as a Surveyor-Outside (P) or 1st Class Journeyman
- Ability to plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules
- Knowledge of material requirements and production flow coordination
- Ability to schedule equipment and personnel
- Ability to confirm material supply and demands
- Ability to prepare work orders or purchase requests
- Ability to coordinate interdepartmental activity
- Ability to schedule and expedite movement of parts
- US Citizenship is not required
