About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules
  • Coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to production requirements
  • Advise management on work-in-progress status, material availability and potential production problems
  • Schedule equipment and personnel
  • Confirm material supply and demands
  • Prepare work orders or purchase requests for production or purchase of components or parts based on the master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control and traffic
  • Schedule and expedite movement of parts using move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma/GED and 7 years' experience, or Bachelor's Degree or above and 3 years' experience
  • Applicable to internal candidates only: 18 months of experience as a Surveyor-Outside (P) or 1st Class Journeyman
  • Preferred craft/disciplines: Electrical, Pipe, Vent/Joiner
  • Must coordinate with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control and traffic functions
  • U.S. Citizenship is not required for this position
