About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules
  • Coordinate material requirements to ensure approved materials flow on schedule for production
  • Advise management on work-in-progress status, material availability, and potential production problems
  • Schedule equipment and personnel
  • Confirm material supply and demands
  • Prepare work orders or purchase requests for production or purchase of components or parts based on master production schedules, shop load, and inventory requirements
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, and traffic
  • Schedule and expedite movement of parts using move orders, stock transfers, and shipping-order requests

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience; or Master’s Degree and 1 year of relevant professional experience
  • Equivalent pathways include NNS Apprentice School graduate; Navy Nuclear Power School graduate; Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program with 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience; Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience; High School/GED with specified combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military, or relevant experience
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Exposure to network scheduling techniques is highly preferred
