About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide project management responsibility and material support to Planning Yard Services contracts
Work with PYS Engineering to identify material requirements for planned Ship Alteration installations
Coordinate with Class Platform managers, Supply Chain Management, Estimating and Pricing, and Contracts to obtain procurement funding
Coordinate with warehousing to receive, kit, and ship material supporting Availabilities
Manage and status assigned programs daily
Serve as liaison between project management, planning, project team, customer, and line management
Review and present project and budget status
Manage schedules and prepare status reports
Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet schedule, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction objectives
Monitor project progress and resolve material issues with HII disciplines, project managers, line managers, and the customer

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma and 7 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience, or Master's degree or above and 1 year of experience
Project Management, Industrial Engineering, Post Delivery Support or Supply Chain experience
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, including PowerPoint and Word
Experience with ARAS and IFS
Strong analytical skills
Understanding and/or exposure to post delivery processes, SCM/Material management, or Change Management
Ability to logically express ideas in oral and written formats
Ability to work within a team environment and independently
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to travel 25%-50% of the time
