About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee and manage operational aspects of ongoing projects
- Serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management
- Review project and budget status
- Manage schedules and prepare status reports
- Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals
- Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress, intervention, and problem solving
- Strengthen the technical training program as division co-lead
- Support implementation and modification of required training
- Provide feedback to instructors
- Plan and track new niche training for engineers, technicians, and designers
- Strengthen onboarding for new hires and transfers
- Support knowledge sharing, employee engagement, human skills training, and new media literacy initiatives
- Serve dual roles such as technical training lead and knowledge sharing to minimize silos and improve efficiencies
- Expand onboarding and retention initiatives and communication hub across 4,000+ employees
- Coordinate special projects, including business-unit and functional coordination for internal network migrations or upgrades
- Help define organizational purpose, connect employees to the mission and milestones, grow bench strength, reduce attrition, and ensure network compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; or Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant professional experience
- Equivalent pathways may include NNS Apprentice School graduate
- Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
- Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
- Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
- High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
- High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of emotional intelligence
- Ability to analyze and complete work accurately and on time
- Ability to learn, comprehend information, adapt and apply
- Documentation skills and adherence to company processes, procedures, and standardizations
- Time management skills
- Customer service skills
- U.S. citizenship required
- No security clearance required to start
