About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Interpret federal, state, and/or international regulations as they apply to products, financial processes, and other processes, practices, and procedures
- Implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with statutes and regulations
- Ensure regulatory reporting requirements are met
- Investigate and resolve compliance problems, questions, or complaints from company units, customers, and government regulatory agencies
- Develop and implement programs to increase employee awareness and knowledge of compliance policies
- Audit and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation for compliance with government laws and regulations
- Administer Purchasing System regulations to ensure compliance with Federal, Agency, and contract requirements
- Conduct internal surveillance of the system
- Participate in internal and external compliance audits
- Respond to various inquiries
- Ensure policies and general purchase order terms align with requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; or Master’s Degree and 4 years of relevant professional experience
- Equivalent pathways may include NNS Apprentice School graduate; Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate; Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience; Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience; High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience; or High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with government contracting, including knowledge of FAR/DFARS
- Experience with policy
- Ability to multi-task in an agile environment
- Strong attention to detail
