About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform high-precision pipe welding on Stainless Steel and Copper-Nickel using Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG)
- Weld using Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Flux-Core Arc Welding (FCAW)
- Work from drawings, specifications, and welding procedures to ensure structural integrity and system reliability
- Support ship construction in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
- Maintain safety standards that meet or exceed industry requirements
- Weld critical piping systems for naval vessels, including systems handling chemicals, steam, ventilation, and essential mechanical functions
Requirements
What you’ll need- U.S. Citizenship required for this position
- 2 years of pipewelding experience
- Proven, hands-on pipe welding experience with TIG/GTAW as a primary process
- Ability to weld Stainless Steel and Copper-Nickel to exact specifications
- Skill in SMAW and FCAW processes
- Ability to work safely in complex shipyard environments
- Strong commitment to quality, precision, and craftsmanship
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
