Design, develop, document, test and debug application software and systems containing logical and mathematical solutions
Conduct multidisciplinary research
Collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers in planning, design, development and utilization of electronic data processing systems
Determine computer user needs
Analyze system capabilities and resolve problems involving program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls
Prepare operating instructions
Design and develop compilers, assemblers, utility programs and operating systems
Ensure software standards are met
Help design and maintain graphical user interface software and customized operating systems for the Automation and Controls software development team
