About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor, maintain, and control inlet gas flows through inlet compression, dehydration, recovery, and residue systems through sale meters
  • Monitor recovered liquefied petroleum gases through fractionation, storage, and sales
  • Inspect equipment for safety problems, leaks, or wear and tear, and make or recommend repairs
  • Review and monitor prior-shift information, daily computer logs, and process-board scans
  • Record gas volumes, process analyzer readings, and daily tank inventory
  • Monitor and maintain process readings and control loops throughout the plant
  • Respond to and initiate corrections for process alarms
  • Monitor and maintain the truck rack and assist loaders
  • Drain unwanted fluids
  • Monitor plant entrance security, check identification, and record visitor names
  • Conduct or coordinate ongoing maintenance and general housekeeping
  • Procure materials and supplies needed for daily tasks
  • Read automatic gauges to determine gas flow rates
  • Retrieve and perform required quality and integrity tests on product samples
  • Maintain logs of meter readings, test results, and adjustments
  • Adhere to company values, vision, mission, work schedule, and attendance standards
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect company assets
  • Contribute to team efforts and perform other duties assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • One (1) to three (3) years of gas processing plant experience, or certified as a gas plant operator
  • Preferred: Hilcorp operations and/or maintenance contract experience
  • Preferred: Compression, pump, or roustabout experience
  • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule which includes seven (7) nights at 12-hours once a month and seven (7) days at 12-hours once a month
  • Ability to accurately solve problems
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities
  • Ability to accurately perform tasks
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform work assignments with little or no supervision
  • Ability to make independent, rational decisions, as required
  • Ability to maintain the integrity of the plant process
  • Ability to work alone and highly motivated
  • Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position
