About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and review journal entries for assigned entities
- Assist the Manager with the monthly closing process
- Train and lead team members on accounting functions including Timeshare and Resort Revenue, operating expenses, Fixed Asset, Payroll, AR and AP processes
- Assist the SEC team in reporting
- Assist with budgeting
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and determine correcting entries
- Review team member journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and review bank reconciliations and record journal entries to clear outstanding items
- Review financial statements for integrity and accuracy before distribution to the Manager
- Create and post journal entries and analyze financial results
- Ensure deadlines and deliverables are completed with high quality
- Assist the Manager in improving efficiencies by evaluating processes and procedures
- Verify data accuracy and completeness
- Document processes and procedures
- Perform ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and modeling
- Perform special projects requested by management
- Assist co-team members and internal customers with financial information
- Assist auditors with year-end reporting
- Work with Accounting and cross-departmental teams on company-wide goals and special projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have a 4 year degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent required
- Advanced Excel and Word experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting theory, regulations, systems and procedures
- CPA preferred
- Bachelor's degree
