About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Organise and manage the Software Development Department, set priorities, plan resources, and ensure operational efficiency
Build and develop the team, recruit employees, support professional growth, motivate employees, ensure well-being, and evaluate performance
Oversee IT project delivery, including deadlines, scope, and quality, in cooperation with project managers
Manage project budgets, costs, profitability, departmental financial performance, operational targets, and KPIs
Communicate with clients, manage needs and expectations, resolve challenging situations, and support project managers
Evaluate technical solutions and the quality of developed systems
Contribute to development of the company's digital products, including AI-based solutions
Evaluate new project opportunities, prepare commercial proposals and cost estimates, and improve internal processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong understanding of software development processes and technological solutions, with ability to assess quality and functionality
Experience delivering public-sector IT projects
Understanding of public procurement requirements and government information systems development
Previous management experience in IT or alternative experience managing complex IT projects and coordinating teams of specialists
Ability to plan resources, manage budgets, and assess project costs and profitability
Strong leadership, organisational, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to make independent decisions and resolve complex situations
Understanding of Artificial Intelligence technologies and their applications
Understanding of digital product development principles
Professional certifications in project management, IT, or leadership are an advantage
